50 Cent Ordered Not To Sell Property
The judge also ordered 50's ex, Shaniqua Tompkins, to pay the 50 $4,500 in rent by Friday (June 13) for staying in the house during its final month, according to Reuters.
The decision was made on Tuesday (June 10), as Tompkins sued 50 for half of his estate baste on an oral agreement the two made previously in their decade-long relationship, said Tompkins' lawyer, Paul Castandonis.
"I think it speaks volumes about Mr. Jackson" said Castandonis, referring to 50's decision to make his ex pay the rent. Catsandonis referred to the action as an "undue hardship."
However, 50 Cent's layer, Brett Kimmel, said that Tompkins repeatedly ignored court orders to pay the rapper, saying "My client is not the one who started a lawsuit for $50 million."
Tompkins was living in the Long Island home with the 10-year-old son, whom she had with 50, when a fire broke out on May 30th. Police regarded the fire as suspicious, and proceeded with their investigation accordingly.
