Ice Cube And Fred Durst Collaborate In The Longshots
A decade later, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst and Ice Cube are working together yet again. This time, they collaborate in the form of The Longshots, a film presently in post-production. This will be the sophomore directorial effort by Durst, who directed last year's The Education of Charlie Banks.
Now backed by Dimension, The Longshots is a dramatic adaptation of the true story of Jasmine Plummer, the first woman to play in the Pop Warner football tournament in 56 years. Plummer is played by Atlantic Records' artist Kiki Palmer, who through the help of her mother, reaches out to "Uncle Curtis," played by Cube, for some tips on fitting in.
The film's official trailer can be viewed [click here]. The film is set for 2008 theatrical release.
