While Jay-Z has helped bring in top notch picks like Kanye West and Beanie Sigel to Roc-A-Fella Records, he’s hoping he can help bring in other top ballers to the New Jersey Nets.

After a few years of having a minority stake in the team, Jay-Z will be representing it at this month’s NBA Draft Lottery. The lottery is set to air live tomorrow at 8pm on ESPN.

“This is very exciting and I hope my nickname “Lucky Lefty” holds up,”Jay said in a statement.

The Nets only have a 1.1 percent chance of landing the number one pick in the draft, which will commence Thursday, June 26.

Jay-Z, Usher (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Nelly (Charlotte Bobcats) are the only Hip Hop/R&B acts with a minority stake in a professional sports team. Jay has also been working to move the Nets from New Jersey to his own stomping grounds of Brooklyn, New York.
