Trick Daddy's Dunk Ryders Sign
To Cash Money Records
It's recently been rumored that Rick Ross helped get Florida Hip Hop pioneer and Slip-N-Slide labelmate Trick Daddy a recording contract at Def Jam Records. While that has yet to be confirmed, sources close to the Dunk Ryders, Trick Daddy's group, confirmed signing to Cash Money Records this afternoon.
The group, which consists of trio Iceberg, Fella and Soup, appeared on "You Damn Right" from Trick Daddy's last album, Back By Thug Demand [click to read]. In celebration of their signing, the group is releasing Dunk Ride Or Die, a new mixtape, largely featuring Trick Daddy, hosted by DJ Beatstreet.
Slip-N-Slide and Cash Money Records have discussed collaborating before, including an album with Rick Ross and Birdman reportedly coming in the next year [click to read].
In other label news, it was confirmed early last week that Slip-N-Slide artist Wes Fif has amicably left the label. He signed last November [click to read], but did not appear on any releases.
Cash Money's present roster includes Yo Gotti, Glasses Malone, Mack 10 as well as superstar Lil Wayne.
