Cee-Lo Teams Up With Jack Black For A Disco Cover
The song appears on the Interscope Records soundtrack to Kung Fu Panda, an animated new comedy. The song is produced by The Underdogs, responsible for work for Chris Brown and Beyonce. The film, which features voices of Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman and Angelina Jolie, releases June 6 on Dreamworks. The soundtrack releases June 3. Acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer scored the film.
"A fan of the song first, it was inspiring and an honor to have the opportunity to reintroduce the record to a brand new audience sprinkled with a little of me on top," said Cee-Lo. Previously, the Georgia native did "Ophidiophobia," from the Snakes On A Plane Soundtrack, released in 2006.
Presently, Gnarls Barkley just released their "Going On" video [click here to view] from The Odd Couple. As a solo artist, the one-time Goodie Mob member has been reportedly working on his Atlantic Records debut, the first body of new material since 2004's Cee-Lo Green... Is the Soul Machine, released on Arista.
