After nearly five years with J Records, Mark Ronson's Allido Records (named after Stevie Wonder's "All I Do") announced today its move to Interscope Records. The announcement comes less than a month after Washington DC region emcee and DXnext alum Wale [click here to read...] was signed by Interscope through Allido [click here to read...]

One of the foundations of Interscope has been partnering with producers who can move the needle of popular culture, said Jimmy Iovine, head of Interscope. Mark has that rare ear for great songs and artists who will have extraordinary careers. Were thrilled to be in business with him.

The deal will not be exclusive, as Allido artists Rhymefest and Daniel Merriweather will remain signed to J. Ronson, who produced for Pop stars such as Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, will also be free to executive produce and produce for projects outside of the Interscope/Geffen/A&M umbrella. There is no word as to whether Ronson himself will now release product through the deal.

The English-born producer and deejay has worked with Hip Hop artists including Jay-Z, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Saigon and others. Recently, he has been producing for Robbie Williams and Christina Aguilera on upcoming albums.
