Prodigy's Last Words As A Free Man
The 10 minute, self-recorded, clip featured Prodigy accompanied by his wife as he drove through the Holland Tunnel to turn himself in to his three-and-a-half-year bid. Balancing driving and recording, he slightly touched on the upcoming follow-up to his 2000 album H.N.I.C.
Im fittin to turn [myself] in. Ill be right back, Prodigy said. Trust me, Im leaving yall with a dope album, so look forward for all of that. Video crazy. Everythings crazy. I love it when a job comes together. The music speaks for itself, he continued.
Rather than speaking on the actual case or his personal feelings, Prodigy analyzed his current situation by looking on the more positive side. Take the good with the bad. Turn a bad situation to a great one, so just know that, the Queens rapper said.
While shouting out people throughout the entire length of the recording, Prodigy expressed more emphasis on certain individuals including close friends. Shout out to [Havoc]. H, hold your head, I love you, my nigga. Alchemist, you know. Shout out to 50. To my kids. Yall be good, listen to mommy, Prodigy continued.
Ironically, he thanked the judge for the additional time he was given explaining how he was able to use it to finish his album amongst other things.
Shout out to the judge, he looked out for me. He did the right thing, Prodigy exclaimed.
In a more serious tone, he offered his condolence for fans upset at the situation and explained what separated him from certain others entertainers. Shout out to the whole New York. Dont be mad cause P speaks his mind and tell you how he feels. Respect that. Dont have respect for the nigga that hides shitscared to say how he feels, Prodigy said.
Approaching the court, P briefly assured that things would be back to business upon his release with a new Mobb Deep album. Wait til we come backdrop this new Mobb Deep. Hit the road, overseas. We gonna be overseas like a motherfucker. Everythings gonna be right back to business, Prodigy concluded.
Prodigys H.N.I.C. 2 is schedule for release on April 22, 2008.
