Yo-Yo Joins MC Serch To Host New Ego Trip Show
Yo-Yo garnered rap fame as a protege of Ice Cube in the early '90s. She released five albums, most notably 1991's Make Way For The Motherlode, backed by the hits "Stompin' to the '90s" and "You Can't Play With My Yo-Yo." In 2006, the emcee said she was planning a comeback album with the help of famed west coast producers DJ Pooh and Dr. Dre.
In addition to rap, this will not be the first time Yo-Yo caters to the camera. She had a role in Boyz N' The Hood, Menace II Society, as well as TV appearances on Martin, New York Undercover and others. In recent years she had also been an afternoon radio host on famed Los Angeles Hip Hop station KDAY.
