Beyonce Starring in "Obsessed"

Beyonce Knowles will further her movie career as she co-stars in an upcoming thriller called Obsessed.

Knowles appears in the film with the likes of Ali Larter (Legally Blonde, Resident Evil: Extinction) and Idris Elba (The Wire, American Gangster) and will also executive produce the movie alongside her father, Matthew Knowles.

The Screen Gems thriller will have Elba playing the role of an asset manager with an overly attractive wife (Knowles) continuing her thriving career. However, the film takes a drastic turn when a temp office worker (Larter) begins stalking Elbas character.

Obsessed will be directed by Steve Shill. He is best known for his work on HBO shows including The Sopranos, The Wire, Rome, Deadwood, and Big Love.

As of now, Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper is finalizing cast deals, working out schedules with reps from both Knowles and Larter.

While the film is undergoing production, Knowles is also producing and co-starring in Sony BMGs Cadillac Records as Etta James.
