Ne-Yo has become a star from his way with words, but
he couldn’t sweet talk his way through traffic violations earlier this week.

According to a report published at TMZ, he was pulled
over in his 2006 Range Rover in Cobb County, Ga. after driving over 100
miles per hour.

He was then, according to the report, arrested for reckless
driving and for not having a valid driver’s license.

This isn’t the first time the R&B
star/songwriter has been in the news over the past few months. In November, he
was publicly ousted from R. Kelly’sDouble Up tour [click HERE].
In light of the incident, Ne-Yo’s publicist
quipped, “Entertainment reporters, music critics, bloggers, fans, and
concert goers all agreed that Ne-Yo’s
performances brought the heat; but maybe it brought too much heat.”

According to an MTV report, Ne-Yo has recently fielded songwriting
requests from the likes of
Usher,
John Legend, Ciara, LeToya Luckett
and Janet Jackson. His pen has
previously been behind hits for Beyonce
(“Irreplaceable”), Mario (“Let Me
Love You”), Rihanna (“Unfaithful”) and
others.
