In the tradition of Talib Kweli and Jay-Z, Murs and E-40, another Hip Hop veteran from the '80s has linked with an underground icon. At the upcoming South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, Quannum's Lyrics Born will perform alongside Ice Cube.

Joined by Talib Kweli and Jean Grae, the four independent emcees will perform on March 15 at Auditorium Shores in a free, public concert. Although no early details of onstage collaborations have been provided, the event for Lyrics Born is promotion for April's Everything At Once, his next effort on Anti/Quannum Records. The album is a departure from the East Bay emcee's longstanding Funk influences and fuses his Hip Hop with '80s Pop and R&B.
