Rockwilder Goes With God
In a recent interview with Movement TV, the man behind the boards for classics such as Method Man & Redmans tribute in title to their favorite producer, Da Rockwilder, as well as Jay-Zs Do It Again and De La Soul's Oooh, lamented the current state of the secular rap game and pledged his allegiance to the holy Hip Hop market.
Hip-Hop has reached a level to where its boring. I dont really want to glorify the violent aspects of it, he said during the interview. Im pretty much doing a 360 and bringing it back to the essence of when I was first raised on Christian music.
While Rockwilder is currently working with several Christian rap acts, he hasnt completely refuted the possibly of continuing to work with secular artists.
You know, Im still who I am, he noted, but I know my focus and my drive is going to be towards Christian music. I like the message. I like the music. I like the way it is received.
Fans of Rockwilders beat site, www.rocbeats.com, can breathe easy as their outlet for cheap professionally produced tracks doesnt appear to be shutting down or changing direction because the sites sonic supplier will now be lending his beatmaking talents to mostly non-secular artists, as a note on the site signed by the producer attests: 2 da fanz, thanx 4 da support. 15 years, and Im not gonna stop! Thanx 2 u all. Love God!
