Flavor Flav continues his TV presence with the premiere of his first scripted comedy series on MyNetworkTV this upcoming spring.

Flav, 49, will star in the half-hour show titled “Under One Roof” which places him as ex-convict Calvester Hill, who moves in with his well-endowed brother, Walter (Kelly Prine).

While details are scarce, the show is expected to have a “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” feel to it, with story lines including Hill’s former prison mates visiting, helping his brother’s son become a gangsta rapper, and on-going scuffles with his sister-in-law.

The show will mark MyNetworkTV’s first scripted sitcom, due to their recent unsuccessful attempts at reality TV shows. The network has already ordered 13 episodes and the company’s president, Greg Meidel, has shown enthusiasm for the upcoming series.

“[It is] a classic fish-out-of-water story,”Meidel has said.

“Under One Roof” will be directed by Brian Roberts (“Everybody Loves Raymond,” “The Drew Carey Show”). Writers include Danielle Quartes and Gelila Asres, both non-Writers Guild of America writers.
