"Super Tuesday" has arrived and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas has added his name to the list of Barack Obama supporters. The rapper/producer has released his "Yes We Can" video, which was inspired by an Obama speech given after a somewhat surprising loss in the New Hampshire Primary. The video was directed by Jessie Dylan, the firstborn son of folk singer Bob Dylan. Common and John Legend appear along with Herbie Hancock, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and actresses Scarlett Johansson and Kate Walsh and other Hollywood notables.

"I was sitting in my recording studio watching the debates," explains Will on his Huffington Post blog. "I was never really big on politics, and actually I'm still not big on politics." Will.i.am also adds that while he was initially torn between candidates, he was later inspired by the aforementioned speech.

The "Yes We Can" video follows the recent Obama endorsements of Kidz In The Hall and Talib Kweli. The moves come after two elections in which the US Census Bureau reports that less than half of registered voters between the ages of 18-24 actually voted. After today's primary election, in which 24 states will hold caucuses, it should be much clearer if Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton will carry the Democratic Party's nomination.
