Young Buck Speaks On Lil Wayne & Still With G-Unit?

The industrys collective eyebrows were raised a week ago when Young Buck reportedly made an announcement that he resigned with Cash Money at a concert where he took the stage with Lil Wayne. The announcement shook hip hop fans and people were curious as to how true it was that Young Buck would reconcile his differences with Lil Wayne and leave G-Unit for Cash Money.

HipHopDX caught up with Buck a couple days before the alleged announcement was made (Buck hasnt returned phone calls since) and spoke on his future.

Im signed to G-Unit and Im down with The Unit. Im fully focused on everything I have to do as far as my obligations to my contract with G-Unit, Buck said to DX. But, as human beings were only getting older. And the older I get, the wiser I become. Its just about me reaching out and building this foundation.

Obviously, that didnt lend much clarity to his label situation aside from him still being signed to G-Unit and fulfilling his contractual obligations.

He did, however, mention that all pending beef with Wayne was indeed squashed.

I moved on from all of that old shit, he says in reference to his beef with Wayne. Honestly, at the time it was fun and that was all good, but this is dough-eight and Im on some get money shit. Shout out to Trina and Wayne. I wish them the best and all that good shit, but Im Cashville Records all day.

Buck did take the time to elaborate on his first Cashville release.

My first release, Product of the South, is dropping April 1. I am not bullshitting, when I say I am delivering one of the hardest albums youve ever heard. Its got Young Jeezy, Plies, Devin The Dude, Brotha Lynch Hung, Yo Gotti, Allstar and more. This is one of the hardest albums that Ive ever released, period.

He also is preparing to release a DVD in May that gives some insight on what he has been up to over the past few months.

Its just a DVD of some cats that have been following me around for seven or eight months, he says in regards to the as-yet-titled DVD. Theres a lot of footage throughout it, and Ive never had a DVD on shelves. People can see my everyday live and things of that nature, so its worth looking out for.

It seems that Buck is pretty adamant about Cashville but with him staying mum on his recent announcement, things could always change.
