Young Buck and Lil Wayne have had a turbulent relationship over the last 10 years. Buck began his career signed to Cash Money Records, as an artist closely associated with Juvenile and UTP. After leaving the label around the same time as the New Orleans mentor, Buck found tremendous success with 50 Cent and G-Unit Records.

A rivalry developed in recent years, as Lil Wayne thinly-veiled his distaste for G-Unit, wearing “G-Unot” t-shirts and saying subliminal lines, something that Tony Yayo and 50 Cent are known for. The dislike came to heads when in numerous press interviews, Young Buck admitted that during his tenure at Cash Money Records, he had witnessed Lil Wayne kiss men on the mouth several times, after a photograph of Wayne and Birdman surfaced. 50 Cent‘s “Fully Loaded Clip” also alleged that Young Buck and Trina, may have had relations simultaneous to her and Wayne‘s lengthy courtship.

Strangely, Lil Wayne and Young Buck appeared on stage together at Memorial Auditorium in Chatanooga, Tennessee this past Saturday. Allegedly, during that concert, Young Buck told the audience that he was “resigning to Cash Money.”

If true, the move comes after grumblings of anger within G-Unit over poor promotion and marketing of last year’s Buck The World. Critically hailed, the effort was hardly worked after the summer campaign for Curtis began, limiting the effort of the previously platinum rapper to gold status. Equally, Cash Money Records had also recent claimed to have signed Tha Dogg Pound, a report that was later denied by Kurupt and Daz.
