This is an update to Rock‘s recent arrest. DX has been keeping a close watch on this story as it’s been unraveling. Today, a statement was issued by Rock‘s attorney, Kenneth Montgomery, on Rock‘s behalf.
The statement reads:

“Rock was released from Rikers Island prison today after posting $125,000 bail. He was indicted for assault and attempted murder charges and will be arraigned on the felony indictment in Brooklyn Supreme Court within the next month. Rock vehemently denies all charges and patiently awaits his day in court.”

Currently, Rock is working his solo mix CD entitled Shell Shock. That mix CD is set to feature the likes of Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun, Rustee Juxx and others. Moreover, Rock and Sean Price are reuniting for Heltah Skeltah‘s upcoming D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team) LP. That album is slated to hit record store shelves in the Summer of ’08. It will be made available via Duck Down Records.
