On the heels of releasing their new video “Drivin’ Down The Block,” the Kidz In The Hall are gearing up for their second album, The In Crowd. As previously reported, the April 29 release will be their first since leaving Rawkus Records for Duck Down Records, along with their consistent involvement with Major League Entertainment.

Whereas the 2006 debut School Was My Hustle was sparse on collaboration, The In Crowd is telling of Naledge and Double-O‘s increased popularity. With a “Drivin’ Down The Block” remix in tow, reportedly featuring Pusha T (of The Clipse) and The Cool Kids, the album itself boasts appearances from Sean Price, Gym Class Heroes, Camp Lo, Phonte (of Little Brother) and promising newcomer Wale.

Based on the popularity of the single alone, it’s been reported that the chorus sample, courtesy of Masta Ace‘s classic “Born To Roll,” was recently re-recorded by the Brooklyn veteran in support of the Chicago emcee and New Jersey producer’s song.

After 15 years of being a largely self-contained Boot Camp Clik imprint, the additions of Kidz In The Hall, Diamond and Special Teamz have proven that Duck Down is venturing into more collaborative outside releases.
