Dave Chappelle has not been seen much since his much talked about departure from Comedy Central. After reports claimed the comedian walked away from $50 million, many were unaware of what the future would hold for the star. For some time now, the buzz has been that Chappelle was hitting the stand up stage with some new material. In April, he broke a record by doing stand up for more than six hours. Now, after hearing that another comedic star may break his record, Chappelle hit the stage even harder.

Chappelle recently broke his own record at the Laugh Factory in Hollywood by doing stand-up for six hours and 12 minutes, according to various reports. Jamie Masada, club owner, told MTV that Chappelle was determined.

Dave was determined to keep his record because he recently heard that Dane Cook was planning on trying to break [his] record,” said Jamie.
