Bun B Comments On Pimp C's Death
In a statement released to HipHopDX through Jive Records, Bun B has commented on the loss of his UGK partner Pimp C. Bun stated, "[Pimp C's] genius was unparalleled. His passion
was undeniable and his love was unmatched. To say that I lost a friend or
brother would never do justice to the relationship we shared. I will never be
the same again."
Next month, UGK would have been together for 20 years; a career spanning over six albums released on Jive, not to mention underground and unauthorized recordings. Earlier this year, through the OutKast-assisted hit single, "International Player's Anthem," the group's first album in over five years, Underground Kingz performed better first week sales than any previous album from the duo, together or separate.
