Duck Down Entaprizes follows up their deal with ESPN with another music deal with The History Channel. According to Buckshot’s interview with the Canadian magazine Exclaim, the agreement is just one of many Duck Down has planned for 2008.
“We don’t only have ESPN. We have The History Channel,” says Buckshot. “The History Channel, the same thing [as ESPN] for their urban stuff. We’re starting Duck Down Television. More or less the future of Duck Down Records is gonna be now we’re about to bring hip-hop to a whole new level. We have Diamond D signed. We got KRS-One signed…we got DJ Revolution, we got Kidz in the Hall, we got Special Teamz and we got a few more surprises that we’re gonna pop up with in 2-8 with, but all the ones I mentioned to you are signed, sealed and delivered.”
At press time KRS-One and Diamond D are not yet listed on the artist roster at duckdown.com, however 9th Wonder has been added, while Marco Polo, Guilty Simpson, Khrysis and Black Milk are listed as Duck Down Affiliated Artists. For more information visit www.duckdown.com.
