Judge Sentences Teen to Listen to Afroman

December 27th, 2001 | Author:

MTV is reporting that a 17-year old boy is being sentenced to listen to Afroman's "Because I got High," and write a report on it. The teen, from East Hartford, Conn., was caught with a marijuana pipe, a bottle of whisky, and 10 beers. Judge Nancy Dusek-Gomez, at a court in Springfield, Mass., sentenced the teen to listen to Afroman's hit song, which she calls a "stupid rap song," and write a report about it.

The judge said that she would dismiss the drug and alcohol charges if the teen completed his report and steered clear of the drink and the smoke. He will also be required to take random drug tests.

Good thing the teen didn't imitate Afroman's line "I was gonna go to court, but then I got high..."
