Snoop Dogg has teamed up with athletic company Cutter Gloves to recognize and honor the participants (both players and cheerleaders) in the Snoop Youth Footblal League (SYFL).

The SYFL, which was created as a way for kids to build friendships that will last a lifetime, will be had its All-Conference Championship yesterday (Dec 2) in Carson, CA.

The children participating in the league are honored each year by Snoop and Cutter Gloves based on their academic progress, sportsmanship and character.

The children submitted essays this year explaining how the SYFL has made a positive impact in their lives.

"We couldn't do this without people like [Cutters] who believe in the Snoop Youth Football League," said Snoop Dogg. "It's easy for a kid to join a gang -- we need to make it easier to play football. The SYFL is on to something so fresh and productive for our youth, and we are also all about helping the boys and girls off the field."
