Jay-Z and MSN Air NYC Concert for Free

November 15th, 2007 | Author: Slava Kuperstein

Jay-Z has joined MSN's Control Room to broadcast his sold out American Gangster show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday (Nov. 11).

Beginning November 20, anyone can access the concert for free by visiting music.msn.com/jayz. This lets fans who weren't quick enough to get tickets to the concert (which sold out in 5 minutes) to get to witness the concert in its entirety.

The concert is centered around Jay-Z's newest album, American Gangster, which sold well over 400,000 in its first week, giving Hov his 10th #1 album. This ties Elvis Presley's record, leaving Jay-Z behind only the Beatles, who have 19.

"It’s a true testament to Jay-Z’s greatness to create this amazing conceptual body of work clearly not intended to be measured by commercial standards; yet he still achieves this monumental and historic accomplishment of his 10th #1 and tying Elvis." said L.A. Reid, Chairman of Island Def Jam.
