Rapper Ludacris has agreed to perform at Nelson Mandela’s fifth “46664” AIDS benefit concert. The concert will take place on December 1 (World AIDS day)in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The concert, named after the prison number Mandela wore during his 27 years imprisoned on Robben Island, is the result of an organization Mandela foundned in 2002.

The concert will feature other artists such as Corinne Bailey Rae, Peter Gabriel and The Goo-Goo Dolls, in addition to local acts.

“The 46664 message is one that needs to be heard in every corner of our country, and indeed, the world,” said a spokesman through a press release. “These artists between them reach into every one of our
communities—upholding Mr. Mandela’s message that HIV AIDS is not a
local issue, but a universal one.”
