While the High
School Musical 2 soundtrack continues to lead the charts, steamrolling
towards platinum status with 983k sold in two weeks, Talib Kweli's latest,
Eardrum, debuts at #2 this week with 60k copies sold. Meanwhile, Swizz
Beatz debut, One Man Band , hits the charts at #7 with 45k sold.
UGK's Underground Kingz falls 4 places this week to #10 with 35k sold (256k total.), and Linkin Park holds steady at the #12 spot for the third week in a row with Minutes to Midnight selling 34k (1.6M total). T.I's T.I vs TIP still creeps towards the coveted platinum status with 33k sold this week (974k total).
Despite reports of addiction and attempted suicide, Amy Winehouse's Back to Black holds the #14 spot for the second week in a row with 33k sold (1.1M total).
Common's much talked about Finding Forever drops 5 spots to #15 with 30k (282k total), while the eclectic sounds of M.I.A's Kala debut at #18 with 29k sold. Plies' Real Testament drops from #9 to #21 with 27k sold this week (162k total).
