An otherwise successful 2nd Annual Ozone Awards was marred by a scuffle with the police at the hosting hotel where the awards took place.
With a successful TJs DJs Conference and Ozone Awards in the can, it looked to be a night of partying and relaxing for all those who attended. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case as a small scuffle began in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency in Miami, FL. HipHopDX.com was present first hand as the skirmish led to what sounded like gunshots (but later reported as falling signs) made a crowd of onlookers mobile. After the scene appeared to be safe and clear, cops apprehended a young man and proceeded to remove him from the premises.
A young lady reportedly spoke out to the cop for grabbing the individual and was subsequently manhandled by police.
The lady remained in a policeman administered headlock as his fellow officers cleared the lobby.
A bystander spoke to DX about the situation…

“As the crowd hastily dispersed, a policeman escorted a man away from the elevator, while he had him in an armbar,” the anonymous source said. “A woman yelled at the cops ‘So you’re doing something big huh?’ And she followed that with ‘muthafucker’, next thing I know she was hemmed up on the floor.”
No word as of yet if anyone was injured but HipHopDX will keep you posted on this developing story.
