Ja Rule will be returning to his home of Queens, NY to host the LIFE Camp Weekend from August 17-19, in order to raise money for the organization.
LIFE, which stands for “Love Ignites Freedom through Education,” is a youth outreach organization founded in 2002 to reach out to at-risk youth ranging from the ages of 13-24 which lack resources such as education and employment and social opportunities.
Ja will also be hosting the Annual LIFE Camp Inc. Barbecue for the People on Saturday, August 18th. The even will be held at Craigmeur Park in Morristown, NJ. According to the New York Daily News, the even will host a screening of a movie titled 80’s Babies, which was produced by LIFE Camp attendees, in association with Southeast Queens Neighborhood Network & Spectacular views.
LIFE has no shortage of hip hop endorsement, as the “Bowling for LIFE Tournament” in Hackensack, NJ will be hosted by radio personalties Ed Lover of Power 105.1 and Angie Martinez on Monday.
