The McDonald’s Live Tour was meant to hit
different cities with different artists on the bill. One of those artists was Twista.
However, McDonald’s recently decided Twista
would no longer be a part of these events.

According to The Sun Times, Twista was taken
off of the tour due to his lyrical content.

“McDonald’s USA made the decision following
concerns raised about the artist’s controversial lyrics,”
the company
said in a statement.

The statement went on to say that they are for freedom of
speech, but they do not condone what Twista has to say.

“Although we respect free speech and artistic
expression, we do not condone or perpetuate derogatory language,”
the
statement noted.

McDonald’s is now looking to replace Twista
with another performer for Chicago.
