As previously reported, Remy Ma is being sought after for a shooting in Manhattan early Saturday morning. Since the initial report more details have emerged.
The owner of the Pizza Bar, where Remy Ma was seen before the shooting this morning (July 13) has issued a statement in which he denies any altercation took place within the confines of the bar. Sasha Tcherevkoff (owner) states that Remy and her entourage were in fact in the Pizza Bar but no dispute occurred.
"We've determined that no physical or verbal altercation whatsoever occurred inside Pizza Bar … As far as we can determine the entire group behaved well, enjoyed themselves and there was no incident throughout the evening. We have been told by the officials close to the investigation that the genesis, the start of this altercation, happened outside of our establishment on 8th Avenue and 14th Street and had no connection whatsoever to Pizza Bar,” said Tcherevkoff.
Remy Ma and a newly identified member of her entourage, Makeda Barnes-Joseph, entered a dispute over $2,000 outside of the Pizza Bar.
Barnes-Joseph was entering her Nissan maxima when Remy got out of her Escalade, opened the side door of the Nissan and shot Barnes-Joseph twice in the torso, said police, which has also been concurred by witnesses.
As stated in our earlier report, the Escalade had fled the scene later to be crashed into another vehicle leaving the assailants to flee on foot.
Police have since arrested several men that were in the Escalade and are currently being questioned. While Remy Ma is still being sought after for questions regarding the shooting.
Tcherevkoff has also stated that the Pizza Bar’s surveillance cameras captured the entourage in the bar and that the videotapes have been turned over to the police.
Remy Ma will face attempted murder charges if she is determined to be the shooter.
