Snoop, Lil Wayne, Others Lend to Anti-Gang Project

July 9th, 2007 | Author: Anthony Springer Jr

Lil Wayne, Akon, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg will lend their talents to Bangin… The Big Lie, Pain, Pride, and Destruction - a compilation that will support the anti-gang organization, Amer-I-Can/Unity One Foundation For Social Change.

This will be the first compilation of many from Warner Bros. Records and industry executive Stan Sheppard.

Amer-I-Can takes a double edged approach to stemming the tide of gang violence between African American and Latino members on the streets and behind prison walls. The organization also offers life skills training classes.

Sheppard will oversee the projects marketing and promotion and in a unique move, will release three singles from the album simultaneously. What's Goin On by Snoop Dogg  and Akon, Get Off Me by Kurupt and The Ghetto by Lil Wayne will lead the charge.

Bangin is scheduled to hit store shelves in September.
