HHDX News Bits (Russell Simmons, Hyphy Wife Swap & Pacman Jones)
The Bay Area took the nation and the Hip Hop world by storm last year, introducing the Hyphy movement to millions of Hip Hop heads. Now, ABC is looking for a Hyphy family for its reality TV show, Wife Swap. The show, in its fourth season, is looking for a family that eats, sleeps and breathes Hyphy. For those of you unfamiliar with the show, two mothers/wives get a chance to switch places with a different family for a week. Unlike the Chappelles Show parody, theres no bedroom sharing for the spouses.
ABC is looking for families that live anywhere in the United States in a two parent household with at least one child 5 years or older living in the home. If you, or someone you know fits the bill, call 646-747-7947 , or email a family photo and description to abby.koocher@rdfnewyork.com . Anyone who refers a family that appears on the program will receive a finders fee.
The Pacman Jones saga has come to an end. The Tennessee Titans troubled defensive back has decided not to appeal his year long suspension, handed down by current NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The suspension came on the heels of numerous run ins with law enforcement, including one incident during All Star Weekend in Las Vegas in which a man was shot at a strip club. "Last week, I asked for an opportunity to meet privately with commissioner Goodell," Jones said in the statement. "I met with him earlier today to tell him about the steps I have taken to change my life since being suspended by the NFL. I accept the discipline that's been imposed on me and I am withdrawing my appeal." Jones may only serve a ten game suspension if he meets a number of stipulations set by Goodell.
