Cash Money shows Thanks

November 22nd, 2001 | Author:

Hip-hop has always had a bad name in the mainstream media, what with arrests and beefs taking the headlines, but it's always nice to hear some good news too. Since September 11, hip-hoppers from Jay-Z to Snoop gave back in a big way, and now the Cash Money crew is doing their own part for the greater good.

The Cash Money crew (Baby and Slim Williams, Mannie Fresh, and the Hot Boys) gave away turkeys in their hometown of New Orleans on Tuesday, providing needy families with succulent birds for American Thanksgiving, which is Thursday, November 22. It is part of the efforts of the Johnny and Gladys Williams Foundation, an organization founded by Cash Money CEOs Slim and Baby Williams, in honour of their parents, who have passed away.
