Choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson, known for her role in teaching the “Making the Band” contestants dance routines, has been fired, according to the New York Daily News. The termination of her role follows an alleged altercation with Sean “Diddy” Combs, the shows executive producer.

Gibson told authorities, according to the New York Daily News, that a heated argument ensued between Combs and guest judge Michael Bivans over the performance of the latest group of band wannabes last month, when she was eventually involved and threatened with a chair by Diddy.

The incident allegedly took
place on April 25 at the New York Sports Club, but she didn’t file a
formal complaint until May 11. Diddy has denied Gibson’s claims, calling her accusations an attempt to “take advantage” of his fame.

Diddy’s lawyer told the New York Daily News,
“This is just another example of a false accusation by someone trying
to take advantage of Sean’s success and celebrity status.”

Gibson’s attorney said her firing is a breach of contract.
