In this weeks issue of Entertainment Weekly, (March 30th) Timbaland speaks on a few interesting topics.

On Scott Storch:

As we all know Scott Storch and Timbaland have traded back shots during the past month on records such as Scotts You Aint Built Like That and Timbalands Give it To Me featuring Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. One time collaborator, now upset with Timbos shots in the single for his album Shock Value, Storch quickly responded with a song and video featuring artist Nox. Timbaland told EW I know he got a little record out I just want to destroy his career. Because thats what hes doing. But I gotta be real smart. The more I talk about him, the more I big him up I gotta pray on it.

On Being Shot:

For the first time ever, Timbo speaks publicly about being shot at the age of 17. Working as a DJ, holding several low end jobs (see: washing dishes at Red Lobster), Tim constantly got into with a local thug. On the night of the shooting, Tim was clocking out when approached by said thug. I got something for ya, Tim reported what was asked by the shooter. Oh yeah, what you got? was Timbos reply. The shooter then let off a gunshot from a weapon hidden in a bag; the bullet went through Tims neck and lodged in his right shoulder (fragments still remaining inside today). Ill tell you this if you get shot and you survive, you feel like the incredible hulk. Them bullets dont hurt when they go in. But then they got that burning, that acid burn. God damn! It feels like a stove burning in your blood. You feel like any minute you gonna be dying, Tim says. I been though some junk it aint all peaches and cream.

On Jay-Z:

As earlier reported by DX, long time friend and Def Jam president, Jay-Z was supposed to be on a cut for Tims new album. While previous attempts at making his own records werent successful, Tim gathered an all-star lineup which consists of everyone from Elton John and Dr. Dre to The Hives and Fall Out Boy. The song was seemingly done and then Jay decided that he wanted to change his verse in the 11th hour. He laid it down and sent it to Tim, who didn't think the new verse fit the song and wouldn't use it. By that time there wasn't enough time to sort things out so Tim had no choice but to delete it from the record. Jay really disappointed me, Tim says.
