Paid Dues seemed to start an underground Hip-Hop movement. We The People Festival is an underground Hip-Hop festival with a political twist.
Immortal Technique, Saul Williams, Los Nativos, RZA, GZA, 2Mex, X-Clan, deadprez, Psycho Realm, Quinto Sol, Self Scientific, DJ Muggs and more will be on hand to work together for a united front with a cause.

WMG’s ILG will take control of the RSE catalog. It will be handled by Alternative Distribution Alliance.
The first RSE release under this will be Brother Ali‘s Undisputed Truth.
Brent “Siddiq” Sayers, one of the founders of Rhymesayers, recently spoke about this.

“If we have someone who wants to be on a major label, we can, in fact, do that,” he noted. “But if we have someone, like Atmosphere, who does not want to do that, we can keep doing what we’re doing and bring in some select [promotional/marketing] services.”
Fred Feldman, who has worked with Atmosphere in the past, also spoke on this.
“They encompass what we look for an indie label,” he said. “They have that entrepreneurial spirit. They’ve built a great thing in 10 years, and I’ve been a fan for a while. They bring a punk rock feel to do what they do when you look at how their acts tour.”
