December 19th, 2006 | Author: Starrene Rhett

VH1 has announced a new series that will premiere on January 8. In conjunction with Ego Trip, the network will present “Ego Trip’s White Rapper Show.”

Hosted by MC Serch of 3rd Bass and producer Prince Paul, the show will be set in the South Bronx and the premise is to look for the next great white rapper.

Ten contestants from across America will live in a run-down South Bronx tenement referred to as “Tha White House,” and will be put through challenges that will test their knowledge of Hip-Hop culture, as well as their ideas about race.

Guests like Grandmaster Flash, Fat Joe and Kurtis Blow will be brought in to critique the aspiring rappers who will be competing for $10,000.
