Irv Gotti announced a new edition to The Inc. The classically
trained, Vanessa Carltonsigned withThe Inc after a chance meeting by
JoleneCherry, the head of Cherry Entertainment. Gotti was impressed by
the singer's talents.
She debuted in 2002 with Be Not Nobody, featuring the piano-laded hit, "A Thousand Miles,"
which hit thereached the Top % on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. She also received Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Record of
the Year.
The singer's follow-up was the single, "Ordinary Day" and she also got critical acclaim for her 2004 sophomore release, Harmonium.
"Vanessa is easily one of the best singer/song writers that I have ever been around in my entire life," Gotti told sources.
Carlton drew rave reviews during a recent tour with Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks.
TheInc also boasts platinum selling artists, Ja Rule and Ashanti.
