he annual West Coast Hip-Hop festival known as Rock the Bells will be
setting out on a North American tour this winter. The tour will kick
off November 21st in Washington D.C. and will continue to 20 major
cities in the US and Canada over the next month. The shows will be set
in smaller venues than what the Rock the Bells festival is used to,
guessing around 1500 attendees.
Redman will be giving fans a sneak peak, (FINALLY) of his new album Red Gone Wild, due out in March, also Wu-Tang Clan member Rakewon, Keith Murray and Erick Sermon will be on hand for some of the tour. DJ Kool will also be the guest DJ for most of the tour.
Chang Weisberg, founder and organizer of Rock the Bells said, "The tour is a way to establish Rock the Bells in other markets that have not enjoyed the full festival experience. Rock the Bells started out he very same way in LA with a multiple club dates and grew into something larger because it had integrity ", adding, "We hope that by bringing quality hip-hop shows to these other markets, eventually it will set the stage for something better. We want to expose new music, a new perspective, awareness, and a fresh mindset. That's what conscious hip-hop is about. That's what Rock the Bells hopes to provide."
