Jay-Z Confirms New Album

09.14.06   |   by J-23
This is all that was left, Jay-Z coming out and saying he was in fact making a comeback. Some would argue he never really left, but he used to drop at least an album a year so this two hiatus counts for something. In the past few months Pharrell has claimed to be working on the album, so has Timbaland, Scott Storch, Kanye and the list goes on. But Jay remained quiet on the subject, not denying it will happen, but not saying much else.

That is over with. In an upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly, in which Jigga graces the cover, he tells the mag, “It was the worst retirement, maybe, in history. I believed it for two years.” The story, which is dubbed Jay-Z Returns, confirms that Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Kanye West and Coldplay's Chris Martin will have a hand in production.

Right now all rumors point to Thy Kingdom Come dropping in late November, which could prove to be a huge month for Def Jam as Nas will likely release Hip-Hop Is Dead around the same time. Can't leave rap alone, the game needs him...
