Lil Scrappy to Remake 'How to Rob'
Lil Scrappy is out to prove he can spit and bring Hip-Hop what he feels it needs. How does he plan to do so? The rapper from the Dirty, Dirty recently expressed his wishes to remake How to Rob.
The track How To Rob was initially a 50 Cent track that garnered tremendous attention before he even had a debut album. It highlighted his robberies as he stuck up various celebrities from Ghostface Killah & Bobby, Whitney to Big Pun & Missy. The controversial track struck fans and it gained popularity quickly.
Scrap hopes to recreate that energy.
"I'm jacking everybody," he said to MTV recently. "Even 50 and [Lil] Jon — they getting it too." Although he was hesitant to pull this one off at first, The Prince of Crunk felt it was a good way to put himself where he feels he needs to be.
"At first I wasn't into talking about anybody...but I remember back in the day when a n---a ain't had nothing. He would do anything to get a little paper. I want to be where real hip-hop is. A lot of people say hip-hop is dead. Well, I'mma kill it for 'em. You gotta think: I'm a dude who can get crunk and spit," he claimed.
This couldn't come at a better time in his career. Currently, he is filming a movie which also features Stacy Dash and Mekhi Phifer. The film, oddly enough, centers on a mob that robs rappers and other celebrities.
