Chris Brown Wants to be Like 50 Cent

Everyone knows Chris Brown as the young R&B sensation who broke through the industry this year. His hits like Run It made him an overnight sensation and for a teenager, that's not bad. Still, the young singer isn't content with just that.

His next steps will lead him into acting. According to a recent interiew with MTV, the crooner hopes to shed the image he currently has for a much tougher, grittier Chris Brown.

"I'm looking at some serious roles that would take me out of the kiddie well, not kiddie but the sweet Chris Brown that everybody knows," he said in the interview.

One of the ways he plans to do this is by taking on roles similar to the one 50 Cent had in Get Rich or Die Tryin'.

"It would be more of a life-challenging Chris Brown, like how 50 Cent's story was [in 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' '], more along the lines of playing a role like that," he explained.

His acting debut will come alongside fellow crooner Ne-Yo in the tentatively titled Steppin' which is due out in the first quarter of 2007. He is currently working on new music for soundtracks, a new album and a tour. This teenager doesn't appear to be slowing down.
