Shots Fired, One Hit at Hot 97
Now here is a story for you. Up and coming emcee Gravy (real name Jamal Wollard) shows up at Hot 97 for an interview with a crew of 30 all wearing t-shirts bearing his stage name. A black Escalade pulls up, some men get out and one opens fire. Gravy is hit once in the ass.
So what does he do? Call the police? Go to the hospital? Start shooting back? None of the above. He went and did the damn interview. Eventually police showed up in response to calls about gunfire and noticed a man limping. Reports say that Gravy first told police that he fell. Once 5-0 saw the blood on his clothes he was sent to St. Vincents hospital to receive treatment.
The story is capped off by Gravy demanding to know where his car was, leading to a panicked woman following behind in his Bentley. Only in the world of hip-hop
