MF Doom Teams With Stones Throw Again
Stones Throw Records and the Adult Swim portion of Cartoon Network are set to collaborate again. Following up on the success of the brilliantly pieced Danger Doom The Mouse and the Mask album pairing of Danger Mouse and MF DOOM .
A wide array of guest artists joined in on the cartoon fun like, Ghostface , Talib Kweli and Cee Lo .
Suprising? Maybe not. Stones Throw and Adult Swim may have secretly been celebrating their proposed deal at a co-hosted SXSW exhibition, especially re-releasing the collaborative talents of Madvillain , the aforementioned DOOM and Stones Throw and Beat Konducta , Madlib during a 45-minute set. After the release of the latest album from Ghostface featuring a handful of DOOM beats, their rumored album will be heavily anticipated and the Adult Swim atmosphere is just what DOOM and Ghostface were made for.
The cartoon album is set to rival the DangerDoom album, executive produced by Stones Throw DJ Peanut Butter Wolf and will feature cuts with Madlib and DOOM as Madvillain , Lib and the late great Dilla .
The rest of the Stones Throw is said to make appearances as well, such as OhNo, Beat Junkies , STR member, J. Rocc , Percee P , Roc C, Dudley Perkins and Aloe Blacc .
The album will also celebrate the first ten years of truly successful southern California independent hip-hop label.
