Latifah Sees Her Star Shine

Queen Latifah aka Dana Owens has climbed her way to the top of the entertainment industry form Irvington, NJ. Its about time she be totally recognized. Hollywood did just that this week.

The Queen was officially honored yesterday, with her first Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star according to http://www.hollywoodchamber.net.

Latifah has made an amazing transition from conscious rapper to silver screen diva, even receiving a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her role as Mama Morton in the film Chicago.

She has starred in a slew of box office smash hits, including Bringing Down the House, Beauty Shop, Set It Off, Brown Sugar and Bone Collector.

The Queen will soon be featured alongside fellow rap icon turned-actor LL Cool J in the Paramount Pictures release, Last Holiday, which will swarm theaters January 13.

Latifahs star will be unveiled in front of the historic Graumans Chinese Theater at 6915 Hollywood Boulevard
