Not even a prison sentence can spoil Lil Kim’s holiday spirit. The Queen Bee, who is several months into a 366 day sentence is giving back to the community from behind the iron wall.
Through her Lil Kim Cares foundation, the former first lady of Junior M.A.F.I.A is teaming up with Mitchell and Ness (remember the throwback jersey craze?) and boxing star Zab Judah. The trio plan to donate toys to underprivileged youth this coming Friday at the Francis J. Myers Recreation Center in Philadelphia.
For those in the area, the center is located at 58th & Kingsessing Avenues. Toys will be distributed from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis to children 13 and under.
Several individuals and organizations will be on hand including Charles “Charlie Mack” Alston, Hillary Weston Manager for Lil’ Kim, Eddie Magic, 100.3 The Beat, Meda Judah, Fight for Life’ Foundation, Mothers In Charge, Men United For A Better Philadelphia and Teens In Charge.
The Beat is also aiding the cause by encouraging its listeners to donate toys.
