Raps newest next city, Houston is quickly becoming the home of creative marketing plans. First, there was Mike Jones (Who?), then Paul Wall had the internet goin nuts. Now, emcee Chamillionaire is stepping up his game with his first major label release, The Sound of Revenge. The Mixtape Messiah is auctioning off on eBay the chance for one lucky fan and a guest to spend the day with him next Tuesday when his album drops.

The Spend the Day With Chamillionaire contest closed today, with a winning bid of $6,300. The winner will attend two in store signings, an album release party and also have lunch with Cham.

For those up on the independent game in the south, Chams name and voice are as familiar as many major label stars. But for those unaware, gather round for a quick history lesson.

He and Paul Wall moved over 100,000 units independently of Get Your Mind Correct. After internal conflicts caused the two to go their separate ways, Cham hit the mixtape scene and created a major label bidding war when he released The Mixtape Messiah, which sold over 150,000 copies.

The Sound of Revenge hits stores nation wide November 22 and features appearances from Krayzie Bone, Scarface, Bun B and Lil Wayne. The albums lead single, the Scott Storch produced Turn it Up features fellow Houston rapper Lil Flip.
