Quincy Jones wants Vibe back
Quincy Jones is a man of many hats but it looks as if he is missing one and looking to get it back. Jones is reportedly making an attempt to repurchase Vibe Magazine, the hip-hop/R&B publication he founded back in 1994.
Reports have surfaced that Jones has joined with hedge fund BayStar Capital to make an offer of $100 million in an attempt to get the magazine back. Sources say that Jones still has a minority stake in the magazine but wants to have more influence in daily operations.
Vibe Magazine was created as an alternate to Rolling Stone and has flourished since its inception a little over 10 years ago.
