Wu Breakin Up?

August 21st, 2001 | Author:

GZA, the head to Wu-Tang's Voltron has officially signed a release from his contract with Wu-Tang Productions. This leaves the status of his current album uncertain. Will it be Wu-Tang related? If so, why was the release necessary? GZA is still a part of the Wu-Tang Clan, but by ending his relationship with Wu-Tang productions, Wu collaborations may be a problem.

U-God has also signed his release from Wu-Tang Productions. RZA has agreed to give him his

release forms, but Wu-Tang Executives are trying to veto the release. Despite these troubles,

U-God is still recording his second solo album and an agreement is trying to be reached with him

to stay with the group.

A message from Wu-Tang executives...In response to complaints from hip-hop fans about the various Wu-Tang Family albums having limited Wu-Tang participation, Wu-Tang executives are calling out the clan members and everyone else associated with the clan that it is time to work together again, and if they aren't interested in working together with Wu-Tang, then they will be left behind. Several members of the Wu-Tang Family have not been very cooperative recently and a major shake-up may occur soon. This is trying to be avoided and Wu-Tang executives are working hard to keep the clan together.
