Biggie Mistrial?
The Notorious B.I.G.s family has been waiting years to get some answers regarding the altercation that cost them Christopher Wallaces (aka Notorious B.I.G.) life and now it seems like those answers may never turn up because of a screw up by LAPD.
A federal judge has threatened to declare a mistrial in the case because key evidence was withheld by the Los Angeles Police Department. U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper said it was "very disturbing" that an LAPD detective didn't hand over notes about a prison informant who claimed rogue cops had a hand in the 1997 murder of the rapper.
"It certainly looks to the court, at first blush, that this was a deliberate concealment of information," Cooper said. "Some sanction at this stage appears very appropriate."
An official ruling is expected on Thursday as this circus of a case continues to hit unexpected snags derailing any optimism that one day the truth will come to the light.
